Thomas farms through Modern Harvest Farms in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Thomas is passionate about promoting regenerative agriculture and social justice by empowering people to grow food better. Thomas started his agricultural career at Eckerd College, where he helped start the Edible Peace Patch Project and the Eckerd College Community Farm. Thomas brings an eclectic background in agriculture to the board, including farming independently, empowering students and people with disabilities, managing the Historic Greenbrier Farms, and overseeing agricultural operations at Gaia Herbs. Currently, Thomas works as an independent consultant and spends most of his time working with Contour Lines Corp and Seed2Shirt.
